No, this isn't about how many pixels my screen can display, its about that all important SECOND day of January. I'm sure January 2nd is the day most of the world's population fails at keeping their resolutions.

Well, since I did not have to go to work today, I decided to finish a few year-end tasks before it became February. I archived 6 months worth of my Outlook (yeah, yeah, so I use Outlook, so what?!) .pst file. That file goes to a monsterous size very quickly so I usually only try to keep 6 months work live at a time. I did the same with my Quicken data file also. since I do ALL of my banking online, I would be in serious trouble if anything happened to that file.

I also arranged for some personal year-end tasks today. I made an appointment with a Otolaryngologist (yes, I DID have to look that up before I typed it). You know... an ear, nose and throat doctor. I broke my nose a number of times in high school and can still hear the click-click of the bones in my nose everytime I rub it. I don't breath as well as I should, especially when working out, and I am a SERIOUS snorer. My wife says I actually stop breathing at times (relatively short times, I think). So she thinks it could be my adnoids, my tonsils (which I still have, obviously) or the deviated septum resulting from the broken nose. Or maybe it'll be the triple threat and I'll have all three done.

I also made an appointment for an annual check-up. Annual is kind of misleading here, because I haven't had a check-up in about three years. And since I AM getting on in years, it's probably best that I try to adhere to the "once a year" rule from now on. I just hope I can get a dinner-date or at least flowers from the doctor after the prostate exam. I don't want to appear, you know...easy.
