Some Good News for a Change

Hey, we're having another baby!

That's right, I have spawned again. Claudine and I were going to start trying in September. Obviously, we jumped the gun just a little bit. We were getting pretty sick of all our wacky birth control efforts. We just kinda winged it one night. And... well... stuff happened.

This is totally different from our previous two conceptions. Being an OB/GYN, Claudine has a little more knowledge than the average mother-to-be. So we got something called an "ovulation kit". I don't know much about it except that it involved peeing on a stick. If there was a positive reaction, then you had about 12 to 36 hours before eggs were sent on their merry way down the Fallopian tube. So, of course, I had to endure the torture of 2 or 3 days of twice-a-day sex. Right after the act, it was legs up in the air to let gravity help facilitate impregnation. Claudine put her legs up too. And it took us three months (ovulations) each kid. But, this time, BANG - I got it done on the first try.

This will be the last of our kids. Three will be the number of the children and the number of the children shall be three. As soon as this one is out and healthy, I'm going to the doctor for the ole' snip-snip. I am hoping that this one is a girl. Actually, I wanted a girl each time. I wouldn't trade my boys for anything, but I am looking for that girl. I always wanted a little sister, so maybe I can give my sons a little sister. Hee hee hee. I can't wait to see what a little girl does to change the dynamic of this family.

In other news, Dennis, my recently added stepfather-in-law, is slowly coming back from his stroke. He progressed nicely through the dangerous few days following the inital bleeding. And, oddly enough, he missed the entire World Trade Center / Pentagon disaster. Even now, I'm not sure how much of it he really knows. I can't imagine what it will be like as he makes his recovery to learn what happened during his illness.
