I know what you're saying. "The Boring Entry? They've all been boring, what's so special about this one?" Well, har-de-har-har, buster. You can just leave then. Go on, click over to www.wilwheaton.com or something. Geez, I'm sorry I'm not a movie and T.V. star or something. The rest of you, read on for boring tidbits.
The major thing that happened yesterday (Sunday) was that we moved Bobby into his new room. We've been fortunate that both Bobby and Jake have been very adaptable. Jake moved into his room (with new bed) with absolutely no problem. I had envisioned sleepless nights where Jake wouldn't sleep well because of his new surroundings. I know I always had trouble as a kid sleeping in a hotel or unfamilar location. But not Jake. And now, we find that his brother is just as easy-going. Bobby slept in his new room (Jake's old room) and his new bed (Jake's old bed) last night. (Obviously, Bobby will need years of therapy to deal with his "hand-me-down" complex that his parents instilled in him.) Anyway, this was Bobby's first night in a bed that didn't have any sides to it. I kept expecting to hear the WHUMP!.... "wwwwaaaaaaahhhhh!" sound in the night, but it never happened. So we spent most of the day preparing his room and moving furniture around. We also had to move all his clothes from one room to another. Little kid clothes are so annoying. They are too small to stack. When I moved my clothes into our new furniture, I could stack about a million shirts to carry in one big stack from one dresser to the other. With Bobby's clothes, I could make the same stack of a million shirts, but halfway between dressers, there would be a blow out in the middle of the stack and the entire column would shoot out onto the floor. I told you this would be boring.
I've been experimenting with the layout of the entry pages. I'm trying to make the same border that is around the navigation buttons go around the entry body. But as usual, as soon as I get into any type of redesign, I start to doubt the whole thing and want to trash it. I don't like the readability of the black text on the blue. But I don't want to just have a white box for the text. And then I started playing with different resolutions and now I think that the navigation buttons are too big and take up too much room on the left side of the page, so that the entry is all squished on the right. And let's not even go into the problems I'm having with Netscape! Man, I suck at this. Boring enough already?
I've been downloading a lot of music lately. (Take THAT, stuffed grammy suits!) I know it probably isn't cool to admit this, but I really like the new Alanis Morissette album. And yes, all you Metallica-sympathizers, that means I will most likely buy the actual CD. I like to download albums, because I hate the one hit song-twelve crappy filler songs syndrome. I've been caught by that trap too many times. Heather Nova, anyone?
Well, that's enough boredom for now. I have to go pick up the kids at daycare/school now. And then make dinner. And then put them to bed. Am I boring anyone out there? I'll try to be more exciting at some future date.
