Well look at me. Two entries already. Of course, it remains to be seen if this entry has any substance to it. You know, like the thought provoking, world changing content of yesterday's entry.
I'm still in the process of automating this whole process. I'm using a text editor called UltraEdit. It has some really great macro capabilities. So I'm hoping that this will make me more "regular". No, not like that.
Tomorrow, I'll be playing golf with my brother-in-law. He sets up these "golf outings". Despite the name, it doesn't involve any revealing of personal sexual preferences. They are what the rest of the world calls a "group discount" or "package deal". He lines up a bunch of people to play on a certain date, calls a golf course, gets a deal on greens fee, golf cart, and maybe some lunch. To continue my further debt in all things golf, I bought a pair of golf shoes last week. I played nine holes this afternoon to try and break them in, but instead created massive blisters on both feet. Thankfully there will be carts tomorrow.
I'm fascinated by the secret culture and language that certain activities create. In the world of the Internet, there is "netiquitte". And a world of "trolls", "spam", and "flame wars". The golf world has its own language and rules. And clothes. You have to ear a collared shirt and decent shorts/pants. I actually have to dress up to take part in a sporting event. You can't really ask anyone to explain any of it either, you have to go through your "newbie" stage (Look, another one!).
Amazingly, (segue) it was about 70 degrees today and will be about the same tomorrow. New Jersey in November is not supposed to be in the 70s. I am taking full advantage of this weather - I like to stay in shorts as long as possible.
